Hazard Mitigation Plan for Lycoming County, PA

While at Michael Baker International, I collaborated with my colleagues on the planning team and the municipal staff in Lycoming County, PA to update the county’s Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) requires an update to these plans every five years to remain eligible for post-disaster and hazard mitigation funding. To fulfill the requirements, our team researched environmental and social risks, conducted community engagement through multiple modes over many months, and recommended strategies to invest in mitigation and resilience measures. This subsection is a short excerpt of the whole plan that I authored. To view the full plan, visit the Lycoming County website.
